DR. KELLY TORRES

General Dentist

Dr. Torres’ family is from Brazil; she was born in South Africa, raised in Australia, and moved to Canada when she was 10. She completed her undergraduate schooling in health science at Walla Walla University and then went to Loma Linda University for dental school.

Dr. Torres likes cooking, baking, decorating for events, camping, hiking, or anything by the water. She was drawn to dentistry because of how it uniquely combines science and art while still allowing her to be of service to her patients.

Dr. Torres enjoys meeting people and developing trusting relationships with them. She loves being part of a patient’s journey to bettering their oral health. She believes there is nothing more gratifying than helping someone out of pain or seeing someone’s confidence grow from the improvement of their smile.

DR. RUBY BHULLAR

General Dentist

Dr. Ruby Bhullar graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2007 where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). Prior to that, his undergraduate training was in the field of Pharmacy also at UBC. Following graduation from dental school he has spent above 500 hours, over the course of several years, in advanced training related to implant dentistry and bone grafting.

This training has taken the form of didactic, academic, clinical, and hands-on case experience outside of that normally obtained in dental school. After a series of written and oral examinations in surgical and prosthetic implant dentistry, he obtained his Associate Fellowship from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AFAAID) in 2013.

Dr. Bhullar is also a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA) which provide a vast network of continuing educational courses on a regular basis to remain current with the modern practice of dentistry. Dr. Bhullar is an established Invisalign provider having treated hundreds of cases that would have normally required metal braces.

He has extensive experience in many forms of sedation, including Oral Sedation, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, and IV Sedation, to allow those highly anxious patients who would otherwise be unable to undergo treatment to do so in a relaxed atmosphere. It is also very helpful for more routine procedures such as wisdom tooth removal.

Staying current with modern technology is one of the pillars of his clinical practice. Dr. Bhullar regularly employs lasers, CT scans, and modern-day 3D digital scanners in the quest for the ultimate patient outcomes. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but the most notable disciplines are orthodontics, cosmetics, oral surgery, and implantology.

Dr. Bhullar is involved in many charitable organizations outside his work in the dental office. Notably, he is a co-founder of the Indo-Canadian Dental Association. In his leisure time, he plays ice hockey several nights a week with a team made up of university friends. Dr. Bhullar enjoys travelling and exploring the outdoors with his wife, two children, and their beloved German Shephard.
